Sunrise on a new era

By

Welcome to dev diary #13, where the sun rises on a new era.

v1.4.0 adds support for Homekit lights. If you happen to have a trainroom with HomeKit compatible lights (like Hue), you can use Train Throttle to set a scene.

If you run with a Fast Clock, Train Throttle will automatically set the Hue lights! There's a new item in the app menu to support this. This feature is free for everyone, so there's no excuse to not try it!

Unfortunately, Apple doesn't provide a macOS compatible way to tap into HomeKit. The Layout Room lighting integration is for iOS only.

This release also comes with the following less-exciting but no less important changes:

  • Tweaked the menu UI
  • Fixed the fast clock
  • Fiddled with the turnout list
  • Alerts are more reliable
  • Removed duplicate code
  • General bug fixes

v1.4.0 is out now for iOS devices.

This concludes dev diary #13.

Train Throttle for Apple devices and Windows devices lets you use your Apple or Windows device as a JMRI/WiThrottle control. You can access the full range of DCC functions, as well as control multiple units on the fly, toggle switches, and set routes.
